Outlast whistleblower is a previous version of this game that was played on the single-player mode. Outlast 2 is a game that is played from a first perspective angle and the predecessors of this game are worth mentioning. This particular series is considered to be the third part of the series known as ‘The Outlast Trials’ which will be released in the year 2021. Outlast 2 was released in the year 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. In this game, Blake travels to several villages to find his wife and believes that the end of the days is upon them. Lynn and Blake Langermann, the protagonist of the game, got separated unfortunately in a helicopter accident. The task of a player is to find out and discover the reason behind the murder of Jane Doe. Outlast 2 received various positive reviews on its release and is mainly praised for its sound design, graphics, and atmosphere.
